This policy explains what the SS Bakers Cake Wala app (“the app”) collects, why, and the choices you have. The app is run by SS Bakers Cake Wala, a cake shop in India (“we”, “us”), and is published on Google Play by C2M Internet India Pvt Ltd on the shop’s behalf. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Your account: name, mobile number and the 4-digit PIN you choose.
- Dates you add: your birthday and anniversary, and family or friends’ special days you choose to save (with an optional first name).
- Wallet and orders: your wallet balance and history, cake orders (cake, options, message on the cake, price), stamps, levels and rewards.
- Fun features: your answers and scores in games, quizzes and polls, gifts you send, and cake photos you choose to share on the “Happy moments” wall.
- Your location (needed to use the app): the app asks for your phone’s precise location after you log in and can’t be used without it. We save your exact location (with its accuracy and time) each time you open the app and each time you do something in it — check-in, spin, games, quizzes, polls, scratch cards, gifts, photos, saving dates or placing an order — together with what you did. The first time, we also save your area (a point rounded to about 1 km, and its name, like “Civil Lines”).
- Delivery location (optional): only if you choose home delivery and tap “Share delivery location”. That exact location is saved with the order, together with any address you type.
- Notifications: a notification token for your phone, so we can send you messages about offers and your orders. You can turn notifications off in your phone’s settings.
We do not collect your contacts. Location is read only while the app is open on your screen — never in the background or when the app is closed.
Why we use it
- To run your account, your wallet money, rewards and orders.
- To remind you of birthdays and special days, and to send you offers and order updates (in the app, by notification or on WhatsApp).
- To deliver your cake when you ask for home delivery.
- To make sure rewards and wallet money go to real customers near our shop, and to stop misuse (for example, many accounts from one place far away).
- To understand which areas our customers live in, so we can plan delivery and local offers.
Who can see it
Your information is seen only by SS Bakers Cake Wala staff through our shop app. We do not sell your information or show you ads from others. For a home delivery, the delivery person gets your name, phone number, address and delivery location for that order. Photos you share on the “Happy moments” wall are shown to other app users after we approve them.
Your information is stored securely with Google Firebase (servers in Mumbai, India) and is sent over encrypted connections.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, your account details, wallet, saved dates, area, saved locations and wallet history are deleted. Order records are kept only as long as needed for our shop accounts and tax rules. Cake photos on the “Happy moments” wall are removed if you ask us.
Your choices and rights
- Location is needed to use the app. You can stop sharing it anytime by logging out or turning off location for the app (the app then can’t be used), or by deleting your account, which also deletes your saved locations. Sharing a delivery location is optional.
- You can see and change your details in the app, and ask us for a copy or a correction.
- You can delete your account anytime in Profile → Delete my account, or ask us to delete it.
- You can withdraw consent at any time; this doesn’t affect what was done before.
Children
The app is meant for people aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, please use it only with a parent or guardian.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app for important changes.
